Combining technical and strategic advice

In 2010, Craig Headon and Chris Hewitson identified a gap in the market between traditional engineering consulting and the needs, wants and expertise available within client organisations. Recognising the impact that this had for client organisations, Chris and Craig wanted to bridge the gap between technical and consulting advice by building a team of trusted advisors.

Inside Infrastructure was formed and experienced rapid growth in the management and delivery of programs and projects. The company adapted to meet demands by drawing on specialist advisors and partnering with likeminded organisations, an approach that still holds true today. Services soon expanded to support organisations with whole of lifecycle asset management, project and program management.

By supporting organisations client side in engineering and design management, they were able to better understand client needs and provide a more unique service. This involved working alongside clients in the water, mining, and resource sectors to solve complex problems, develop infrastructure solutions and share knowledge between sectors.

Over the next 10 years, Inside Infrastructure supported clients in the delivery of over 500 projects and programs across Australia by combining both strategic and technical advice, complimented by hands-on delivery capability.

Inside Infrastructure now has a team of 25 with offices in South Australia, Victoria and Queensland to provide advisory services to support the water, utility, mining, resources and government sectors to develop, deliver and manage their projects and assets. We also have the ability to work remotely with virtual capability.
