Inside Infrastructure continues to support events that raise awareness of water quality and security issues in Australia and across the globe.
In March, Inside Infrastructure will 'Walk 4 Water'. This 10,000 step challenge is aimed at reminding participants of the journey that people from the world’s poorest communities (primarily women and children - in developing countries) undertake daily to collect water. Walk 4 Water is an annual fundraiser for WaterAid Australia which encourages participants to walk 10,000 steps a day for five days. Once signed-up, you'll receive a pedometer to help you count out your steps and your overall contribution to the cause.
Walkers are challenged to raise money and start a conversation to increase awareness for the 768 million people living without access to safe water. WaterAid.org has a global reach and works in 27 countries worldwide; with WaterAid Australia currently funding projects across Papua New Guinea, Timor-Leste and Cambodia.
WaterAid’s Walk 4 Water will be held 17 – 21 March to coincide with World Water Day, Saturday 22 March.
Inside Infrastructure looks forward to participating in such a valuable and meaningful cause. To register with the Inside Infrastructure team, send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org prior to Friday 28th of February.
